The absolute best view anywhere! (Deserves a “10″ for “the view” part of location rating) No other structures visible from our balcony, just beautiful Smokey Mountains. My photos don’t do the view justice, so I’m not going to bother posting them…

Very nice place! Very roomy and comfortable. We had a 3 bedroom loft apt. with full kitchen, fireplace, balcony, wi-fi, everything we needed. Front Desk was very helpful at navigating town and recommending entertainment.

The resort is beautiful. The Village of Cobbly Nob is a little resort area in which Deer Ridge is located. It is beautiful and secluded 10 miles East of Gatlinburg. We drove up some winding roads up a mountain to reach the resort. It was exactly what we were looking for. The view from our balcony was breathtaking and every condo on the property had a balcony with the view. Our condo was spotless and contained everything we needed. Every Saturday in October the resort has a little blue grass fall festival from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. That was going on when we arrived. It was as if they had a little welcome for us with dinner, drinks and music. The resort was lovely.

Our trip to the Smokies and Deer Ridge Resort was very memorable! We chose this resort after extensive online research and after reading all the previous reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed in anything. Our condo was even better than we had anticipated! It was spotless and had everything we could have asked for. We stayed in A104 and loved the decor and the homey feeling we felt the moment we set foot inside the condo. We loved the balcony and the incredible view. The pool and hot tub were both refreshing and relaxing after a long day of hiking in the park. We can’t wait to return to Smoky Mountain National Park and Deer Ridge Resort. Our plan is to come back for at least 5 days next October to celebrate our anniversary. We’re looking forward to the beautiful fall leaves at that time of year. Deer Ridge receives a thumbs up from us and will be recommended to all our friends and family who may be coming to the area.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at this resort. We loved it and hated to leave. We got a great value with a beautiful view. We chose the perfect place to stay for our honyemoon.

We started our vacation week in Hilton Head Island. But thanks to 5 days of thunderstorms and highs around 60 degrees, we decided to end our vacation in the smokies (halfway home for us). We called Deer Ridge and booked a 1 BR condo for 2 nights. At the time, I didn’t know I had spoken with the Manager. But, upon arrival, the desk clerk was expecting us, and informed us that the Manager had left a gift basket for us in our room (trying to make the end of our vacation as nice as possible). This was very thoughtful and set the tone for our stay. Our three year-old loved the pool. We loved the space of our accommodations. Everything we needed was there. In fact, this condo was MUCH more nicely furnished than the one we had stayed in in Hilton Head. We enjoyed the views, and made use of the onsite grills to cook hot dogs and make s’mores one night.

We appreciated that Deer Ridge was a few minutes away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Gatlinburg. We could drive into town easily enough when we wanted, but loved the fact that we were secluded. We wanted to “get away from it all” and that’s exactly what Deer Ridge offers. This was my fifth time visiting the smokies. I have already recommended this place to my parents, and will never stay anywhere else when I visit the smokies in the future.

Family vacationed there and had an awesome time at Deer Ridge. Wish I would’ve taken advantage of the amenities offered at the resort instead of going into town. The beauty of staying at such a place is definitely the view. The drive getting there was spectacular and scary coming from the flatlands of florida. Would definitely stay there again.Our condo was absolutely amazing! My husband and I came here this past weekend for our two yr anniversary and we loved every minute of it! Deer Ridge was definitly more than we expected! The view was absolutly gorgeous!!! We didn’t want to leave! We would highly recommend these rooms to anyone! Very clean and cute! updated furniture and appliances! WOW!

Our family recently visited the GSMNP. We wanted a short ride to the park without staying in a busy, congested area such as Gatlinburg, so we decided to stay at Deer Ridge, which is about a 15 minute drive to the park.. We stayed in the “Old Glory” cabin, and it was perfect. Every thing we needed including a hot tub on the deck of the cabin, and indoor pools were available on the management property (a short drive down the mountain side). The cabin was clean, secluded and just felt like home – we hated to leave. At night and in the morning, we sat on the back deck and listened to the crickets chirp and the birds sing.

Could not have had a better vacation in the mountains ! On previous vacations, we have stayed at hotels but now realize the great value of having all the benefits of private bedrooms and a full kitchen such as at Deer Ridge. Location is perfect, close enough to all of Gatlinburg’s attractions, yet out of town so that you can enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains. We are already planning to go back ! Staff was great, too. Thank you.
